The name T. Davis Bunn is well known and appreciated by many
Christian readers. his novels are always well researched and
well written. He has a background in international business
that is a good foundation for his latest book The Great
Divide.
The story is about an American company that manufactures
sport shoes and athletic gear. The products are very popular
with young people and are endorsed by top athletes. The company
has a factory in China and there are rumors that the work
is done by slave labor. A young woman who went to China to
investigate the labor conditions has disappeared.
Marcus Glenwood is a Christian lawyer hired by the girl's
parents to file suit against the company in an effort to bring
her home to the the U.S. Marcus is threatened, beaten and
almost killed in an attempt to stop the suit. He is strengthened
by his faith and the prayers of many people to stick with
this fight against the evil that he sees within the company.
The book has lots of mystery and intrigue with power and
corruption reaching into high places. Each person who has
checked out this book from our library has declared The
Great Divide to be exciting and very good reading. The
book will appeal to both men and women.
