The
O'Malley Family Series
by
Dee Henderson
The
review this month is for the mystery buffs. "The O'Malley
Family Series" by Dee Henderson is exciting. The O'Malley
family is loyal and always there for each other. There are
five of them, none related by blood. Each member is an orphan
with a tragic childhood. They all ended up at an orphanage
in Chicago. A desperate need to belong to a family bound them
together.
So far there are three books in the series. Each book features
one of the family. First read Danger in the Shadows.
It is not in the series but does introduce an important character
in the series, so I recommend reading it first.
Then
read The Negotiator. Kate O'Malley is a hostage negotiator
and is called on in some dangerous situations.
The next book is The Guardian and features Marcus O'Malley,
the oldest of the group. He feels responsible for the rest
of them and has been their guardian for twenty years. He is
a U.S. Marshall. He lost his faith in God and prayer while
still a little boy. See how he struggles with his faith.
Lisa O'Malley is The Truth Seeker in the last book
I recommend this month. She is a forensic pathologist examining
evidence in possible criminal cases. Her childhood was emtoionally
devastating. She doesn't let God in her life, even in conversation.
She understands death and darkness. She is about to discover
love and the resurrection.
