MARINERS
Presbyterian Mariners is a "ministry for today's marriages and families" of all ages and stages. We are families, couples, and single adults; with energy, enthusiasm and a strong focus of "building relationships" and "doing mission" in the church and the larger community.
Mariners has been providing family ministry support to Presbyterian and other churches for over 70 years! Our legacy of a strong Christian foundation will help Families of the Future face the challenges of the future culture.
Our Motto
The Mariners motto is "Jesus Christ as our Pilot, the Bible as our Compass, and the Church as our Anchor."
Our History
The Mariner ministry was founded in a California seaport town in 1927. Presbyterian Mariners draws its heritage, name and nautical terms from the sea. The president is the Skipper, mission and service projects are called cargo. Congregation based groups are referred to as "ships."
Our Mission
The Presbyterian Mariner program seeks to:
· Help families experience Christian faith.
· Provide mutual support, fellowship and spiritual enrichment.
· Develop leadership skills.
· Encourage families to share the Christian faith through service.
· Invite others to share in the Good News.
