Bruce Hansen, Jr. writes the following from St. Andrews, Scotland:
Dear Union Family,
Your love for me, JJ and our girls and your commitment to our ministry
among college students has always been one of the most evident and
reassuring relationships in our ministry. The church as a whole
probably has no idea how well you care for us.
Aside from your generous missions giving to our support, there are
hundreds of ways that various church members bless our students
and our family on a regular basis year after year after year. If
asked whether a church-missionary partnership could be any better,
I probably would have answered, "No, this is the best." I would
have been wrong.
The prayers of faith and the loving concern that you have demonstrated
to me, JJ, the girls, and my parents during my recent brush with
death, is absolutely overwhelming. THIS is the best. We are humbled
and filled with joy at the same time. Thank you!
Mark 2:5 says of the friends of the paralytic who lowered him through
the roof, "When Jesus saw their faith..." We feel as if you have
carried us on your faith. You bore me along in Jesus' presence until
the right donor liver could arrive. You strengthened JJ's faith
and hope as she waited those long days and hours for the next doctor
to come out with bad or good news. You sent my parents off to support
us with the whole church behind them. We feel like the most loved
family in the world, surrounded by the greatest friends and saints
anyone could imagine. And we hear that God has richly blessed the
Union family through the experience of praying together for us.
Grace upon grace, resounding to God's Glory! What a God we serve.
With all affection and gratitude,
Bruce Jr., JJ, Anastasia, and Kayla
