Mission
News:
June, 2002
In addition to our generous financial support to missions, the members
of UPC also give generously of their time. We enjoyed the presentation
by the 30 Santa Marta team members after their return from Baja
California. These children, teens and adults worked hard and enjoyed
the blessing and satisfaction of giving to others.
This summer, several more from our church will travel on short-term
mission trips. Please pray for:
Jennifer Alloo is spending the summer in Belfast, Northern
Ireland. Jennifer, a student at UC Berkeley, is traveling with the
First Presby. Berkeley Global Missions Group.
Eva Colon will be working for
two weeks at the Athens Refugee Center in Greece. Eva is traveling
with a group from San Jose Christian College.
Bruce Hansen and Mike Clark
plan to travel to Lviv, Ukraine to offer leadership training and
Biblical teaching to members of the New Hope ministry team.
Linda Maratas travels to Chartres,
France with Bridge Ministries. Linda has participated in a five
month mission and evangelism internship with this group and is eager
to join a local French team who will be sharing the Gospel.
Joshua Riaille who will spend
two weeks in Quito, Ecuador with a group associated with Focus on
the Family. This group will minister to others in parks, churches
and on street corners using dramatic presentations.
Please pray for these servants who are sharing their vacation time,
energy and resources in the name of Jesus Christ.
